A partnership between Informa Markets (Thailand) and The Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) is to organize an annual Electric Vehicle Asia and International Electric Vehicle Technology Conference and Exhibition (iEVTech). It will be held in conjunction with ASEW 2022. This will be the major platform for Industry specialists, experts, policy makers and visionaries to share knowledge on innovations, technology progress, batteries infrastructure and the outlook of the latest trends for electric vehicles from Thailand and abroad.
During the beginning of 2015, The Thai government had shown an attention on the electric vehicle (EV) technology and start to launch a policy to promote EV in Thailand.
This support motivated an academic and private sector in Thailand to discuss and establish the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) on September 14, 2015 at Knowledge Exchange (KX), KMUTT in which the EVAT had been officially registered on November 6, 2015.
EVAT promotes the use of EV in Thailand, which will lead to a reduction of road pollution especially in major cities. In addition, EV deployment will also improve energy efficiency in mass transportation sector. The EVAT supports include industrial manufacturing and research and development on EV technologies in Thailand. These will strengthen and increase the competiveness of Thai EV entrepreneurs in the global market.
