A bill in the 16th Philippine Congress has been drafted to accelerate the shift to electro-mobility in the Philippine transport sector. Senate bill 1382 sponsored by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian mandates the Department of Energy to establish a Roadmap for EV Roll-out and Charging Infrastructure nationwide. The pending bill, once it becomes a law can provide opportunities as well as challenges for the EV industry.
