In 2024, we formally committed to defining near-term targets within two years. Our goals include a 57% reduction in scope 1 and 65% in scope 2 emissions by 2029 (vs. 2019), and net-zero by 2040. Scope 3 targets include a 52% cut in CO2e per employee (business travel) and 48% in emissions per production intensity (purchased goods/services) by 2029. Key levers include renewable electricity, electric vehicles, and responsible sourcing.

Informa uses an established global process to pay the premium for renewable electricity to the producers. These Energy Attribution Certificates (EACs) allow us to match our electricity usage with the required amount of green energy. This creates additional incentives for generators to invest in renewable power. We're still trying to use less electricity overall, but this process also ensures it's as sustainable as possible.
Our event is part of Informa Markets and the Informa Group. Sustainability at Informa focuses on the long term impacts we have on customers, colleagues, the communities we work in and the environment.
Many of our stakeholders are clearly telling us that sustainability (social, economic and environmental) is something that is no longer a nice to have but a necessary part of any event.
